Sales Specialist
Location: North Carolina
The company is a global leading manufacturer of laboratory automation and benchtop equipment. Their products are used in Genomics, NGS Sample Prep, Cell Biology, Proteomics, Drug Discovery, Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Diagnostics, Biobanking, and other applications.
They now have an opportunity to join the team as the Sales Specialist for the South East US territory.
The Position
- Manage and navigate the overall end-to-end sales process (lead to closure).
- Create and execute a territory plan that acts as a blueprint for meeting and exceeding targets.
- Establish a working relationship with existing customers to expand account penetration.
- Coordinate customer visits, demo follow-ups or lunch and learns as necessary to facilitate efficient sales trips.
- Prospect for new leads by attending tradeshow, social networking, and cold calling.

- The position is home office based, with customer visits in the South East; North Carolina, Texas, Florida, and neighbouring states.
- Work closely with the sales, applications, service engineering and marketing teams.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Scientific field: Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Life Sciences, Genetics; or related field.
- Experience selling benchtop equipment or laboratory automation instruments.
- Laboratory experience and knowledge of laboratory processes (PCR, Serial Dilution, Normalization, DNA Extraction, NGS, etc.).
