Kuros Biosciences, Inc. is hiring an
Area Sales Director (ASD) for our Southeast region. We are looking for the right person to lead and motivate a team of Regional Sales Managers to exceed regional and Company goals. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Area Sales Director has experience in leading successful teams and managing a healthy pipeline of business. This person can show their past successes in sales and growth and is ready to dive into a rapidly growing company to make an immediate impact. The Area Sales Director is strategic, collaborative, and can effectively balance the player/coach role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all Kuros commercial and customer-impacting business activities in FL, NC, SC, GA, TN, AL, MS area.
- Hire, train, and lead a team of direct and independent Sales Representatives in the assigned region.
- Develop and track customer and revenue targets for defined area.
- Use all internal tools and own initiatives, networks, and industry knowledge to acquire new customers.
- Collaboratively work with internal and external business partners to retain existing customers.
- Plan and implement sales activities to meet revenue & MBO goals.
- Responsible for regional field sales and support activities.
- Oversee budget for area sales and support personnel and meet T&E, selling program, and demo expense budgets on a quarterly basis.
- Develop and maintain expertise in spine surgery, osteobiologics, and Kuros products and scientific backing.
- Utilize tools provided and own initiatives to identify and win appropriate target customers and independent sales agents.
- Represent Kuros at conventions/society meetings as defined by VP of Sales.
- Maintain contact with agents and is involved in the negotiation process with the procurement department of hospitals and hospital groups.
- Maintain high level of professionalism, organization, and operational excellence in all aspects of the role.
- Effectively communicate Kuros services and products to surgeon customers and commercial business partners.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
- Located in the Southeast area of the United States, preferably in Georgia or Florida.
- 5 years of direct management experience preferred
- 8 years of demonstrated sales success in medical device and/or biologics preferred
- Must have experience in biologics and OR best practices. Spine knowledge is a strong plus.
- Must be able to work well independently, as well as be able to work cooperatively in a team of professionals.
- Strong sales leadership attributes with a demonstrated track record of success in growing a business by consistently exceeding sales targets.
- Outstanding leadership skills and ability to motivate and engage employees.
- An ability to think strategically and laterally in order to maximize business opportunities and market potential.
- Previous working experience with Acuity MD or other CRM programs.
- Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and adequate insurance coverage required.
Pay Range
$150,000—$170,000 USD
