Your new Account Manager Peripheral Interventions role in a nutshell
You bring experience in sales, clinical support, or product specialization within the medical device field—ideally in vascular, cardiology, or peripheral interventions. If not, no problem, with the right drive, skills & degree in for example Biomedical Engineering, Technical Medicine or similar – we can also get a long way. You thrive in hospital environments, build trusted relationships with clinicians, and know how to have meaningful, value-driven conversations. What you'll be doing
As our new Account Manager for Peripheral Interventions in the Flanders region, As our new Account Manager for Peripheral Interventions in the Flanders region, you’ll be responsible for growing our business and expanding market share across a broad vascular solutions portfolio. From drug-coated balloons and self-expanding stents to thrombectomy systems and intravascular imaging tools—our technologies support physicians in treating complex arterial and venous conditions. You’ll work closely with Clinical Specialists and other teams such as marketing, building long-term partnerships with interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, biomedical engineers, and hospital purchasers alike.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Driving sales growth in the vascular product portfolio
- Mapping stakeholders, prioritizing accounts, and defining a strategic action plan
- Leading commercial negotiations and proposing customized financial models
- Supporting tenders and identifying new opportunities in close collaboration with sales management
- Being present in the OR to support product evaluations and provide technical assistance
- Engaging Key Opinion Leaders and hospital decision-makers with high-impact product and service insights
- Promoting Boston Scientific’s educational programs (e.g. workshops, webinars, masterclasses)
- Managing your client inventory and CRM tools with precision
- Acting as a trusted ambassador for Boston Scientific in your daily interactions
What you'll bring
We’re looking for professionals at the early stages of their career, whether you’ve worked as an Account Manager, Clinical Specialist, Sales Rep, or Product Specialist. What truly matters is your ability to connect, listen, and provide value in every interaction. You communicate like a pro and are naturally a strong relationship-builder that can work autonomously. This last thing is important as, even though you’ll be part of an amazing team, you will be on the road and working solo a lot.
Must-haves:
- Either proven sales experience or transferable experience in medical environments OR a strong drive to learn and grow within the sales field in combination with a degree in for example Technical Medicine or Biomedical Engineering (medical/science oriented).
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (field presence expected 4 days/week)
- Comfort in hospital and OR settings
- You work structured, and are used to (or willing to) update a CRM system regularly
Nice-to-haves:
- Proven sales experience or transferable experience in medical environments
- Experience in vascular surgery, cardiology, or peripheral interventions
- Familiarity with hospital procurement processes
- Network of clinical stakeholders in the Flanders region
