We are seeking a dynamic and empathetic
Hospice Account Manager to develop and strengthen relationships with referral sources, medical professionals, and community partners. In this role, you will represent our hospital, communicate our mission and services, and work closely with referral partners to support patient-centered end-of-life care.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare providers, nursing facilities, hospitals, and other community organizations to generate referrals and drive growth.
- Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for referral sources, ensuring they receive responsive and knowledgeable support about our services.
- Education & Outreach: Educate healthcare providers and community members on hospice services, eligibility, and the benefits of compassionate end-of-life care.
- Referral Coordination: Collaborate with clinical and operational teams to ensure a seamless transition and onboarding for patients referred to hospice services.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyze referral metrics, trends, and feedback to drive continuous improvement and exceed referral targets.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to all hospice regulatory guidelines and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Account management, hospice, or home health sales experience preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Nursing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledge: Understanding of hospice and palliative care principles and the healthcare referral process.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse populations.
