Director of National Accounts — Blue Springs, MO
Meyer Laboratory is seeking a self-directed, highly motivated, and accomplished leader to join our Meyer family as our Director of National Accounts. The Director of National Accounts will lead and execute sales strategies for current and future National Accounts to achieve sales targets and expand our nationwide presence.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development, the Director of National Accounts will lead our National Accounts team by developing and executing sales strategies to achieve National Account sales targets and expand our customer base.
- Lead and execute sales strategies on a national scale to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Oversee the development and management of the national accounts sales team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and key areas for growth.
- Manage customer contract negotiations and close agreements to maximize profits.
- Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to the executive team, highlighting achievements, areas for improvement, and strategic plans for future growth.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty through excellent sales service.
- Implement sales processes and tools to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness within the sales team.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The position will be based in the Kansas City area.
Minimum of 5-8 years of proven success in building, executing and leading a National Accounts program.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on market research, sales data analysis, and forecasting.
High performance people leader and problem solver that is a self-starter with personal accountability and follow-through.
Travel & Physical Requirements
Travel will be required and frequency will be based on key business needs.
Desk and computer work required.
Lifting required up to 50 lbs.
