Job Description
The RSD is responsible for the development and performance of all field personnel in their region for cardiovascular sales and activity. This position staffs and directs their team and provides leadership towards the achievement of partners objectives in line with company vision and values. The RSD will need to observe and identify opportunities and challenges and subsequently develop, plan, implement, and follow through with action plans to positively influence opportunities and challenges within and through their team; this includes the development of team members towards corporate growth. Evaluation of success, optimizing the opportunity and effectively communicating results to client partners and EVERSANA internal stakeholders. This position needs someone who is self-driven and has had a high record of personal and professional achievements. Often seen as a go-getter, inspirational, motivating — someone with initiative and drive, someone who's ambitious; someone who'd instead take the reins themselves than wait for things to get done. Someone highly motivated, proactive, and actively seeks opportunities to achieve goals, often going above and beyond their assigned tasks, with a strong focus on leadership.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams. These results are achieved by:
- Provides strategic and tactical direction to the sales team to achieve market growth, market penetration, and market development objectives
- Ensures alignment and partnership between EVERSANA and our client with the sales teams and the execution of plans to leverage the launch of our client’s product
- Accountable for the achievement of revenue and implant goals for products and services in an assigned region
- Accountable for driving new product launches and achieving our customer expansion goals
- Develop and ensure the implementation of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions sales strategy
- Provides strategic leadership for the sales force and ensures alignment and partnership with Cardiology sales management
- Successfully lead the team to achieve market development and penetration in key patient populations
- Utilizes field visits and individual or group meetings
- Develop, coach, and develop employees in sales skills, product knowledge, teamwork, time and territory management, competitive knowledge, and career goals/pursuits
- Communicate all corporate and regional missions, goals, and activities
- Directs and motivates personnel to achieve goals
- Provides ongoing feedback/coaching and regularly scheduled performance reviews and quarterly business reviews
- Assist employees with Individual Development Plans (IDP's)
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts
- Ensuring efficient, effective use of inventory and expenses
- Cross Collaborative relationships with internal teams (with Reps, Accounts, Regional management, and home office personnel)
- Develop ethical, long-term customer relationships and represent EVERSANA/our client’s customers
- Recruit and interview candidates to maintain strong personnel "bench," hire top candidates for open positions, and meet workplace diversity goals
- Provide feedback of marketing intelligence to sales and marketing management
- In addition to the critical management and leadership tasks listed above, this role also includes the following unique responsibilities:
- Coach, mentor, educate and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual selling skills and elevate overall team performance.
- Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations.
- Interview, select and supervise the activities of the department staff; communicate interpret and discuss with team the company policies and procedures.
- Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards; review performance relative to departmental objectives discussion appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge and administer all other personnel actions.
Qualifications
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university required
- At least 5 years in healthcare or related field with advanced understanding of the industry and therapeutic class
- Cardiovascular sales management experience or experience with market development businesses
- Launch experience with novel product entity
- Additional experience in marketing, training, or cross-functional departments, technical services or related areas in life sciences
